Dr. Harold S. Speight is a native of Mount Airy, North Carolina. He completed his undergraduate studies with a Bachelor of Science in biology at UNC-Chapel Hill, graduating Phi Beta Kappa in 1983. He received his dental training at UNC-School of Dentistry, graduating in 1987. He then went on to complete a one-year post-doctoral residency program in general dentistry (AEGD) at UNC. His training emphasized advanced restorative and prosthetic techniques, as well as the most recent concepts in the various dental specialty areas.

Dr. Speight, his wife and two children currently live in Durham.
