Harold S. Speight, DDS
Dr. Harold S. Speight grew up in Mount Airy, North Carolina. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa in 1983 from UNC-Chapel Hill, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Biology. After completing his undergraduate studies, Dr. Speight received his dental training at UNC-School of Dentistry, graduating in 1987. During a one-year post-doctoral residency program in general dentistry (AEGD) at UNC, he specifically trained in advanced restorative and prosthetic techniques, as well as the most recent concepts in the various dental specialty areas. He maintains memberships in the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, North Carolina Dental Society and John Dilday Study Club. Dr. Speight stays up to date with the most current concepts in dentistry by attending continuing education classes throughout the year.
Dr. Speight currently lives in Durham with his wife and two children. He enjoys seeing patients and helping them create healthy habits for life. Cheri
Cheri has been our Registered Dental Hygienist for over 23 years, since graduating from the Dental Hygiene Program at Northwestern University in Chicago. She loves working with Dr. Harold Speight and our team, providing high-quality, gentle, and personalized care. Her time with Dr. Harold Speight has given her the opportunity to form relationships with so many families and watch children grow up and bring their own children to our office. Cheri enjoys spending her free time with family and friends, and riding and showing her horse, Mayday.
Heather
Heather is our Sterilization Technician and Office Assistant and joined our team recently in 2018. She most enjoys the family-like atmosphere of our office and is great at caring for our patients’ and office needs. Heather is a single mom to a beautiful, smart and kind five-year-old girl and she loves going to the beach and spending time with her daughter.
Dolores
As our Office Manager, Dolores has enjoyed her first year at our practice, forming close relationships with our team and patients. She admires Dr. Harold Speight’s approach to dentistry and his willingness to thoroughly discuss treatment options with patients so that they can make informed decisions about their dental care. Dolores also loves the relaxing atmosphere within our office. She graduated from NC State University in 2012, earning her B.A. in Language, Writing, and Rhetoric.
Kimberly
Kimberly has been a part of the Harold S. Speight, D.D.S., P.A. team for over 10 years. She has a degree in elementary education from East Carolina University and earned her dental hygiene training from Wake Technical Community College. She loves that we provide excellent care while getting to know our patients on a personal level, and she loves the people she gets to work who make coming to work fun.
Kimberly has one son, Tucker, and one daughter, Charlotte, who she loves spending time with. In her free time, she also enjoys watching movies and camping.
Tina
Tina is Dr. Speight’s assistant and has worked in that position for a number of years. She is a graduate of the Alamance Community College dental assistant program, and she is looking forward to joining our team and helping our patients with their dental care.
Tina lives on the family farm in the Caldwell community with her husband, just down the hill from her daughter and grandson. She enjoys visiting the beach and looking for shark teeth.
